A Cloud’s Life: The Original Idea & Writing for God’s Purpose

Welcome to A Cloud’s Life!

If you’ve been here for a while, you probably know that I’ve had this blog for a little over six years now and over the years I’ve just been trying to write down everything and anything as I go about life.

You’ve probably noticed that my blog posts are all over the place and I never really stick to the main theme – and that’s okay. My goal is not to be the most organized blogger on planet earth, but rather to give you a space to come and read about what goes through my mind.

So, I guess maybe it’s time to re-introduce myself after six years.

Hi, my name is…

Claudiënne (Clou-dee-anne).

Yes, that’s exactly how it should be written, but I usually go by different nicknames, most known as Clau, Claudie, and, my personal favorite, Clouds. And many probably wonder, why? But specifically, why “A Cloud’s Life”?

I recently explained this to a good friend of mine as the topic came about and I also mentioned it in my first ever blog post.

Since a young age, I’ve always seen myself as a little cloud floating by, hidden behind all the bigger clouds we usually gaze at. Though you don’t see it, those little clouds are there, we just don’t always notice them.

That’s kind of my life. I’ve always been quiet, but as I’ve grown older, I’ve become more social and open with others, but I stay distant from certain things I don’t feel too confident engaging in. That was then 15-year-old Clouds before deciding to start this blog.

And here we are now, an almost 22-year-old Clouds taking on life one day at a time.

The original idea

As you may have guessed, I never had a specific goal or idea when I first started this blog and that mainly has to do with the fact that this is a hobby of mine. I love writing and since a very young age, I’ve wanted to write and write and write.

About anything and everything that comes my way.

And I do want to somewhat stick to that, but I also want to have more themes to talk about, and specifically when it comes to my walk with Christ.

If you haven’t read it yet, I wrote a personal letter to you all when I came to know Christ and got baptized in 2018.

So, the original idea has been just that: write down what I breathe.

Writing for God’s purpose

And so, in a way, this isn’t going to change. I’m still going to write down what I breathe, however, I’m going to be more intentional with what I write and more consistent (Lord knows I’ve failed in this many times).

As you may have noticed over the last three years, most of my posts have been about my journey with God, certain topics discussed in the Bible, and photographs (because ya girl loves that). And I want to try to keep it that way, but in a more structured manner, and (again) more intentional.

There’s a verse in Matthew 28:19-20

19 Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”

Matthew 28:19-20

Before Jesus ascended into heaven, He told His disciples (and us) that we should go into the world (aka preach the gospel). We should share the Good News that Christ has come to the world and He lived a sinless life to then die on the cross AND later resurrect to grant eternal life to those who put their faith in Him.

And so, that’s what I want to continue to write about.

It’s taken me a long journey (and I’m still not entirely there) to actually understand what it means to live for Christ and experience His joy even through sufferings.

“For to me live is Christ, and to die is gain.”

Philippians 1:21

So, my prayer is that you can read and learn more about my life as a young-adult in the process of growing up and facing “adult life”, but most importantly that you can read about Who Jesus is and what He has done. I’m here today, because Christ died for me and gave me the gift of eternal life.

I hope to see you all on this journey and I’m excited to see what God will do through this platform.

Blessings.

Yours Sincerely,

Clouds.

As a fellow Christina young adult I understand both the fear and excitement of growing up and becoming an independent adult. We have an advantage, though, since the Creator of the Universe is on our side through this weird and intimidating transition. Great post!
