I’m Back & 2018 Has Been Quite The Year

It has been very difficult for me to sit down and write something decent ever since I started college. By now you should see that I am someone who writes with a passion and if something doesn’t feel right, I don’t post it. But, exams are over, a new semester has started and this is just another trial that we go through in life.

But anyways, Happy 2019, may God bless you and prosper you this new year. I can imagine that I’m not the only one who has gone through difficult moments last year (or am I?). Nevertheless, God has continuously shown me his faithfulness, love, mercy and grace — and they are never left unseen.

I wanted to go a bit into what has been going on in my life in the last year and how I plan to move forward this year with what God has planned for me.

First of all,

it’s been a year since I gave my life to Christ and got baptized. When the Bible was speaking about this new beginning in Christ, I never thought it would lead me to where I am now. I have definitely seen God’s hand at work in my life and I’m so amazed with my God every time He shows me certain trials I have to go through.

God has been preparing me spiritually. I’ve been reading the Word daily, as well as go to Bible studies and much more involvement in the church. I also share a lot more of the Gospel ( I still need to speak out more though). And I’ve seen God work in the lives of families, friends, acquaintances, etc. and, boy, do I love seeing people get closer to God.

God has also tested me when it came to hardship, I’ve cried — sobbed — and wondered sometimes when it would all just get better. Truthfully, it hasn’t gotten better, but God has been so good to always keep me closer to my faith and be around more godly people and make me see that it’s not all material things, temporary feelings, if you will. And I know that by trusting in God and His plan and will for my family and I, I’ve been able to have peace in my life.

I’ve been finding my first love for Christ and I’ve been learning about the right moment to know when you should have a relationship, but until I don’t have my first love for Christ and strengthen my relationship with Him, I will choose to seek no interest in any guy until I know I’m ready to commit to the forever part (you know, marriage).

I’ve been a bit more involved with the youth. For those who’ve read my previous blog posts have probably seen that I’ve touched base with the youth and why it’s important to share the Gospel not only to the youth that God loves, but as a youth who loves God. Same thing goes for the children, guys! Preach to the children, teach them about God’s love, share your testimony to them. We must plant the seeds God has given us, water them with the Word and prayer and let God take care of the rest.

I want to do the will of God. For some this can be something that doesn’t really make sense. When I say I want to do the will of God, I want to do what GOD tells me to do! What the Word instructs me to do to fulfill the purpose of God in my life. That can be so many things, I’m still praying to see what God wants me to do as a follower of Christ. In the meantime, I feed myself spiritually by the Word (Luke 4:4) and in prayer (1 Thessalonians 5:17).

I want to focus less on the things of the world and more on the things of God (1 John 2:15-17). This is soooo soooo soooo important! Because as the Word says in Matthew 16:26 “For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world and forfeits his soul? Or what shall a man give in return for his soul?”.
And Jesus hits us with this powerful statement in John 14:6 “Jesus said to him, ‘I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.'”

AWESOME. I LOVE JESUS.

And last, but definitely not least,

I can’t wait to see what God has for me this year. As you can see, God has been so merciful and good (He is a Good Good Father) to me that I rarely focus on afflictions I have experienced, rather I can see all the great things God has done for me.

For now, this has been a little update on my life. God willing, I’ll be writing about many different topics I’ve been wanting to touch on, so stay tuned. Thank you always for reading and I hope to post something real soon!

Blessings!

Yours Sincerely,

Clouds.
