The Baptism of Jesus
13 Then Jesus came from Galilee to the Jordan to be baptized by John. 14 But John tried to deter him, saying, “I need to be baptized by you, and do you come to me?”
15 Jesus replied, “Let it be so now; it is proper for us to do this to fulfill all righteousness.” Then John consented.
16 As soon as Jesus was baptized, he went up out of the water. At that moment heaven was opened, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and alighting on him. 17 And a voice from heaven said, “This is my Son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased.”

Picture this:
It’s 7th of January, 2018, somewhere around 10pm probably. I’m on my knees, in a moment of desperation, guilt, confusion, wondering why I’m not the Christian I’m supposed to be the example of. Finally, I start praying, starting a conversation with God, finally deciding “Lord, I am giving my life to You, I confess right now with my mouth that I am a sinner and I am repenting right here, right now, You, oh Lord, are my Lord and my Savior, the one and only, and I confess my faith in You, Christ Jesus, from this day forward, I am your servant, Amen.”
After three weeks, I finally told my father and stepmother, followed by my sister and brother. I think I told my friends and other family members a while later. I baptized alongside my little sister on February 25th. Most took it well, others had opinions and others didn’t bother to say anything.
But, that’s how we are. Always and constantly judgmental. And I mean all of us. All. Of. Us. So naturally, I appreciated the opinions, but it did not and will never effect me being a Christian, a servant of God.
Before and after giving my life to Christ, I was stressed out, about everything going on either in my life or in the life those of my loved ones.
And let me tell you, life did not get easier for me, if that’s what you thought. Nope, but one thing is for sure: I took every day as a blessing and I made it my purpose in my life to set an example to the world that I am a servant of God.
And that’s what I continue to do. Take each day as a blessing and challenging myself to be a better version of myself. Of course, you might think that because I am a Christian, I am anti-everything and I remove myself from everything evil. You’re half-right.
I still respect and love everyone whom have come and gone in my life.
And why try to distance yourself from them if you can become the example of why they should give their life to Christ as well?
This is more of a letter, so keep reading.
Time after time, I believed myself that by knowing there is God and loving and believing Him, it didn’t matter what I did, He would forgive me and probably say : “Aye, she’s just a kid, clueless.”
And I was indeed; clueless and often naïve, ignorant to not realize that the life I was living in my teenage years was not that of a Christian. I lived a sinful life and I knew that, but still ignorant. I was no example, but thank the Lord I had so many examples around me of believers in Christ. Most notably, my father and stepmother, whom, if you know me personally, I mention a lot. Every time I get the chance, I express my gratitude for them, and God, for showing me the life I should be leading. Unfortunately, not everyone has that support to encourage them into the Word like I have. Every single day I witness teenagers my age going through the things I went through. And they go to church every Sunday to listen to the word and what is right and wrong.
And because of the world, we always commit the wrong.
I see family members and friends commit sins, discretely written in the Bible. And I keep wondering how they could convince themselves so much to keep committing sins.
Yet they claim they know what’s written: either you don’t read it or you have accepted that you are committing constant sins.
Teenagers younger than me committing acts, shameful, sexual acts, that their parents teach them from a young age not to do. And not only that, the pastor of my church often warns us of the consequences when committing these sins knowing full and well that these are sins.

Coming back to the topic, here are a few verses you can read; especially the teenagers:
2 Corinthians 12:21 – 21 I am afraid that when I come again my God will humble me before you, and I will be grieved over many who have sinned earlier and have not repented of the impurity, sexual sin and debauchery in which they have indulged.
Ephesians 5:3 – 3 But among you there must not be even a hint of sexual immorality, or of any kind of impurity, or of greed, because these are improper for God’s holy people.
Galatians 5:19 – 19 The acts of the flesh are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery.
Hebrews 13:4 – 4 Marriage should be honored by all, and the marriage bed kept pure, for God will judge the adulterer and all the sexually immoral.
1 Corinthians 6:9 – 9 Or do you not know that wrongdoers will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor men who have sex with men.
Matthew 5:28 – 28 But I tell you that anyone who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart.
1 Corinthians 13:4-8 – 4 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.5 It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. 8Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away.

Now, am I saying never have sexual relations, because sex is bad? No, of course not! God says that Sex is a gift… when you’re married. In Proverbs 5: 18 specifically, it says: “May your fountain be blessed, and may you rejoice in the wife of your youth.”
Other verses say “Let your manhood be a blessing; rejoice in the wife of your youth.”
But, I think you got what I mean.
The next verse is an important verse to remember by the next time you want to even think about commit sexual immortality or any other sins;
1 John 1:9 – 9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.

Many times I express that I am no saint, I sin too. But truth be told, sin will keep catching on to you if you do not give your life to Christ. And sadly, it will mean eternal torment in the lake of fire if you do not confess your faith.
I know many people don’t like to hear it, even I thought it was such a cruel thing, but the Bible is nothing but the truth.
Romans 8:28 – 8 And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose.
Ephesians 1: 7-8 – 7 In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s grace 8 that he lavished on us. With all wisdom and understanding,

I know many will be upset with me and it is a consequence that I’ll take. Nonetheless, I will continue to love every single person that is still in my life, because I believe that God still has them in my life for a reason. Whatever reason it is, I will pray to Him to continue to guide me to know how to deal with them when in difficult situations.
Psalm 1:6 – 6 For the Lord watches over the way of the righteous, but the way of the wicked leads to destruction.
God holds on to his promise of coming back for a second return. And it’s no 2012 prediction, we’ll never know what date it is, but in 2 Peter 3:9-10 it says:
9 The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.
10 But the day of the Lord will come like a thief. The heavens will disappear with a roar; the elements will be destroyed by fire, and the earth and everything done in it will be laid bare.

God loves us so much that he gave us His only begotten Son to die for us!
John 3:16 – 16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. 17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. 18 Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because they have not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son.
And not only that, He loves us so unconditionally that He has given us the gift of repenting and confessing our faith so we can have eternal life in Heaven with Jesus Christ!
Isn’t that just beautiful?
But verse 10 warns us what that day will be like when it comes. If that still doesn’t convince you, I guess there’s still work to do with your heart.
In the end, this life of us is not our own, it’s God’s. We are not worthy of this life we’re living.
God destroyed a whole city and only saved a pair of each animal and Noah and his family… Just to teach the world that God is also a God of wrath. And He can still do it.
But then He sent Jesus and what a gift has that been. He is a merciful God.

We are dirt. Literally. God made Adam from dirt. when we die, throughout time our bones become dust. When you cremate the dead, they turn to dust, dirt, nothing.
But Hell won’t be the same.
If you do or don’t know the story of Lazarus and the Rich Man, it is a strong example of what hell’s like in the books of Luke:

The Rich Man and Lazarus
19 “There was a rich man who was dressed in purple and fine linen and lived in luxury every day. 20 At his gate was laid a beggar named Lazarus, covered with sores 21 and longing to eat what fell from the rich man’s table. Even the dogs came and licked his sores.
22 “The time came when the beggar died and the angels carried him to Abraham’s side. The rich man also died and was buried. 23 In Hades, where he was in torment, he looked up and saw Abraham far away, with Lazarus by his side. 24 So he called to him, ‘Father Abraham, have pity on me and send Lazarus to dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue, because I am in agony in this fire.’
25 “But Abraham replied, ‘Son, remember that in your lifetime you received your good things, while Lazarus received bad things, but now he is comforted here and you are in agony. 26 And besides all this, between us and you a great chasm has been set in place, so that those who want to go from here to you cannot, nor can anyone cross over from there to us.’
27 “He answered, ‘Then I beg you, father, send Lazarus to my family, 28 for I have five brothers. Let him warn them, so that they will not also come to this place of torment.’
29 “Abraham replied, ‘They have Moses and the Prophets; let them listen to them.’
30 “ ‘No, father Abraham,’ he said, ‘but if someone from the dead goes to them, they will repent.’
31 “He said to him, ‘If they do not listen to Moses and the Prophets, they will not be convinced even if someone rises from the dead.’ ”

All of these lessons, verses, opinions, etc., all these things I learned over the course of years have only been fruits for the mind, for the spirit, to be more in touch with God.
And here I am, writing one of the longest posts I’ve ever written and, probably, the most critical posts ever.
I admire so many believers for their great faith in Christ, because of all the believers, there are truly few who have great faith, and my Pastor spoke of this recently as well.
This letter is for you, whether you’re in doubt with your faith, out of touch with God, curious of becoming a believer, or whatever it may be, this is for YOU. Because I want YOU to join me in Heaven one day.
And read the Bible, because it has answers to so many questions you may have. Talk to God, because He listens to everything and sees everything. Or, if you don’t really know what to do, talk to a friend in Christ or their pastor/youth leader from their church.
Seek Christ today and give your life to Him, because He gave His life for us!
